Shannonvale Tropical Fruit Winery
Shannonvale winery breaks records. With 13 wines they won 12 medals at the Perth Wine Show last year. Their Ginger wine won a Gold Medal (complements Thai and Chinese food). Another Gold winner was the Lychee Fortified (Port), which works wonderfully as a Port, as a base for Lychee cocktails or mixed with ice cream. The winery is only 10 minutes from Port Douglas where you can taste their range. Suppliers locally: Coles Shopping Centre, the bottle shop next to Paddys and Sizzling Meals Restaurant.
Off the Track
Off the Track is under new management. Not only are they continuing the gourmet staple of delicious burgers and fresh sandwiches, but have added their own speciality of homemade sauces and spring rolls. Nathan Ackland joins Peppers Beach Clubs Sublime restaurant bringing along 22 years experience within the hospitality industry. Nathan has worked with Barry Vera from the TV show Feast, alongside Jacques Reymond at Gigis, and is former owner/ operator of the multi-award winning restaurant The Green Shed. Nathan's food ethos is all about flavour profiling, maximising flavours out of fresh local products. He enjoys traditional styles while utilising modern techniques.

Well done to Brett's Outback Tasting Adventure Tours who have been accepted into the Infinity Holiday Programme. Infinity Holidays is Flight Centre Limiteds flagship wholesale brand and was recognised in 2014 as Australia's best wholesaler. Our tour is so unique they wanted us to come on-board said Brett, this means our Tasting tour can be booked globally. Brett developed the tour to satisfy the increasing interest in the source and production of food and peoples love of food tasting. Working alongside a diversity of local producers, Brett's Outback Tasting Adventure was recently featured on the Queensland Weekender programme. Not bad for just a year.
