Local Builder wins Queensland Master Builder Award 2009
Local building company, Verri Industries Pty Ltd have been awarded Queensland top building award in the individual homes $551,000 to $700,000 category as Master Builder of 2009.
The Mossman based building company owned by locally born 26yr old Nathan Verri have only been operating since 2007 but within that short period have set a quality standard that proved unbeatable.
Nathan started his apprenticeship in 2003 with his uncle Dennis Verri and Greg Santarossa and completed his training with Mario Deveci of Can Do Constructions in Cairns. He became fully licenced as a Builder for low rise residential up to 3 stories in 2007.
His company now not only builds Low rise residential construction up to 3 stories but also offers building design, alteration extensions, renovations, new homes and outdoor living areas. As Nathan says, "I try to provide a full service to customers. I try to do what ever I can for the customer and if I can't provide the service required, I offer alternative solutions such as, building designers, other trades persons and professionals to get the project done to the highest quality possible."
The proof of his quality workmanship is demonstrated within The Croft residence at Wonga Beach which is the individual home for which the award was won.
Nathan summed up his win by saying “I’m delighted to have received this award, it’s been a difficult period over the last couple of years but I believe that quality should not suffer at any time. Also having a great design team such as Chris Van Dyke Designs (designers of the Wonga Beach home) coupled with great clients and subcontractors also made the award achievable, it is a great feeling though having this recognition as the building industry is not a stress free environment".
