Babymooner Packages in Port Douglas

A Babymoon is becoming more and more popular as couples use their last child free days to establish and strengthen their ties before becoming a ‘family’.

Recommended to be taken in the 2nd trimester (American College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology recommend safest time is 18-24 weeks) Port Douglas is ideally placed to give you all the benefits of a foreign, tropical location but without having to worry about the factors involved with overseas travel.

Most physicians advise that it’s safe to fly up to 36 weeks and many cruise liners won’t allow you to travel past your 24th week.

Travelling whilst pregnant involves extra considerations regarding your location. Extra assessments should include assessing that a destination can offer nearby quality medical facilities, sufficient medical knowledge from tour staff, hygienic preparation and choice of food and catering.

Port Douglas is perfect and ticks all the boxes!

From anywhere in Australia Port Douglas is located a short plane ride away and nearer than most overseas destinations.

There are no strange diseases here and no vaccinations are needed!  Mossman hospital is only a 15 minute drive away (emergency driving would halve that time!).  All staff on the tours are medically trained and food in commercial kitchens is prepared under strict health and safety guidelines.

The restaurants in Port Douglas range from fine dining to pizza, but all can accommodate your diet (no alcohol or raw seafood) and of course, any cravings that you might have (within reason!).

With a growing ‘bump’ many women see this as a chance to have a pamper and relax.  A chance to spoil a body that’s working so hard to produce a little bub – great to help increase your blood and lymph circulation.

In Port Douglas there are a bounteous array of spas and massage places. All employ highly trained masseurs qualified in a variety of different treatments.

Most offer pregnancy massages and treatments, some offer a couples experience where you can enjoy the pamper experience with your loved one (also involving soaking together in a large spa bath).

With Port Douglas set on the Great Barrier Reef and near the Daintree Rainforest, you can choose a variety of stunning backdrops should you wish to also have a photo shoot to celebrate this wonderful life event. There are many top class local photographers that can leave you with stunning photos and a beautiful reminder of this special time.

Our tour specialists can advise you on the best places to stay to suit your requirements and they can also organise a package to encompass these.  All you have to do is arrive with your ‘bump’ and they will do the rest.

Welcome to the Great Barrier Reef
