Four Mile Beach Port Douglas is Australia's most famous calm water beach. Stretching just over 6.1 kilometres it makes for a fabulous stroll, ride or run. Four Mile Beach runs parallel with the towns main artery, Port Dougals Road renowned for being lined with massive Oil Palms brought in by the infamous tycoon developer Christopher Skase.
