Win tickets to Kuranda Roots!

Kuranda Roots tickets
Enter now and win a double pass to Kuranda Roots 2011.

Being a party animal is expensive business. And while the prospect of seeing an Archie Roach led Kuranda Roots Festival gets you amped, you may vaguely remember spending your last pay cheque on buying Fat Bastard at the Ironbar cane toad races while downing a dozen Vegas Bombs.

We at The Newsport sympathise. That's why we've teamed up with the Kuranda Roots crew to give you the chance to win two-day passes for you and a friend to  this year's festival on 1-2 July. Even better we're doubling your chances of success by offering two two-day passes.

All you have to do is what comes naturally - party.

Send us a photo of you, or you and a group of mates having a great time and you'll go into the draw to win the passes valued at a tidy $150.

The Newsport angel on your shoulder also requests you don't send us something too rude, crude, or downright unpublishable as we may be using your entry on our ever-popular Social Photo page.

Email your photo to editor@thenewsport.com.au now! Entries close on Monday 27 June at 5pm.

Headlining this year’s mighty main stage line-up are world touring Drum and Bass act The Bird, the highly acclaimed electronic artist OPIUO, lyrical philosopher and storyteller Archie Roach and the manically energetic 8 piece leviathan Dubmarine - fronted by the north’s own MC D Kazman.

Joining them on the main stage are Australia’s number one indigenous reggae and hip hop outfit Zennith and the cream of down under reggae and hip hop talent featuring the likes of Darky Roots, Rudekat SoundSystem, The Upsteppers, ImanDan and Schoolfight. Rounding out the bill are the delicate harp grooves of the Flumes, the rambunctious folk of the Rusty Datsuns and many more.
