Fresh talent double showcase at the Clink Theatre, Port Douglas

The Tropical North Theatre Company presented a two production evening at the Clink Theatre in Port Douglas on Saturday and Sunday evenings this weekend (30th and 31st August) written and performed by an exciting group of new fresh local talent.




 

September 2014

Sunset in the Park Music Festival in the amazing Rex Smeal Park. Gates open at 11am with a Father's Day Picnic with all the fun and games including the Carnivale Grand Prix Motorised Eskys. From 3pm the Sunset in the Park Lineup begins. Look out for Dave Cooke, Timber and Wood, the Waywards and Sun Salute. Stay tuned with updates regarding the bands and special events. Cairns Choral Society Gala with David Hudson at Cairns Civic Theatre 13th and 14th Sept

Being hosted by Cairns Civic Theatre, The Gala Spectacular, one of their memorable annual events, is this year themed ‘A Night of Stars’ and will feature the Cairns Choral Society, Cairns Young Voices, Cairns Brass, Cairns Choral Society Champion Choir, the Julia Macalpine Dancers and many of Cairns finest soloist, including special guest and gifted entertainer, David Hudson.

Black Diggers, WWI's untold story at Cairns Civic Theatre Wed 8th October

Queensland Theatre Company, Brisbane Festival in association with QPAC, The Balnaves Foundation and the Cairns Civic Theatre present a very special live simulcast entitled 'The Black Diggers' on Wednesday 8th October 2014.
One hundred years ago, in 1914, a bullet from an assassin's gun in Sarajevo sparked a war that ignited the globe. Patriotic young men all over the world lined up to join the fight - including hundreds of Indigenous Australians.




 

Porttoberfest, Port Douglas, Saturday October 4 (The Long Weekend)

Established in 2007, Port Douglas' spectacular Beer Festival celebrates island like living in Tropical North Queensland.
