Thieves steal from Clink Theatre

The Clink Theatre
A $5000 projector was stolen from The Clink Theatre early this week.

The Clink on Mowbray Street has been robbed of a vital piece of equipment after thieves broke in to the beloved theatre.

The Clink's projector, valued at $5000, was taken in the break in and the Theatre's administrator, Claire Tierney, is appealing for public help to track down the culprits.

"On arriving at the theatre for drama class yesterday, we discovered the stage and back stage covered in fine white dust and a wire hanging down from centre stage that used to be connected to our projector.

"This community theatre relies heavily on this piece of equipment to run many of our events. We need it returned," Ms Tierney said.

If you have any information on the break in or know the whereabouts of the projector, please contact Policelink on 131 444 or the Clink Theatre on 0417 750 231.

Who are these people? Do I know them? Are they the children of friends of mine? Are they the kids I meet in shops and restaurants? I can honestly say that never when I was drunk did it seem like a good idea to steal and trash. Vandals and thieves are criminals. And the jails are full of them. Dob a jackass and do the world a favour.

Here's to the guys who stole the projector: Congratulations you idiots! You steel from those who don't have much either. You must be so proud of yourself. A real intelligent act. The community will love and respect you for this....But you probably haven't got the brains to get my sarcasm anyway.
