Stars to come out at Sea Temple

Some of Australian sport's biggest names will be at Sea Temple Resort & Spa in Port Douglas tomorrow night to take part in a sportsman's dinner to raise much needed funds for the flood appeal.

Kicking off at 7pm (get there at 6.30pm), Sea Temple Resort & Spa general manager Andrew McSweeney promises a fun filled evening which includes a spectacular three course dinner including beverages.

"David Fordham will MC and he runs an incredible night. He's an amazing MC and really gets the crowd going," Mr McSweeney said.

The dinner will feature an impressive line up of Australia’s sporting heroes with the likes of Malcolm Blight, Anthony Herbert, Todd Greenberg, George Peponis, Andrew Farrar, Kevin Moore, Michael Ennis, Andrew Ryan and Brett Kimmorley all making an appearance .

A charity auction will follow the dinner with veritable treasure trove of memorabilia to take the fancy of any sports lover. Items include:

  • 2010 Queensland State of Origin guernsey signed by the entire team
  • Australian one-day cricket team shirt signed by the 2011 squad
  • 2010  Australian Rugby League guernsey from the Four Nations comp
  • Signed Cairns Taipans top
  • Signed Canterbury Bulldogs guernsey
  • And plenty more. . .


All proceeds will go to the Queensland Flood Relief Appeal.
