Port Douglas man arrested at Schoolies

A Port Douglas man has been arrested on drug charges during Schoolies on the Gold Coast.

Reports out of the Gold Coast say a Port Douglas man, 20 year-old Oliver Fines-Frost, has been arrested as part of a drug bust on Tuesday night.

Fine-Frost was granted bail after allegedly being found at a Surfers Paradise unit with 56 grams of methamphetamine, "drug paraphernalia", and over $1,000 in cash.

Police believe he had sold the methamphetamine to 30 people in the lead up to his arrest, which coincided with schoolies festivities.

He has been charged with possessing, trafficking, supplying and producing dangerous drugs as well as receiving tainted property, and will appear in court on January 11.
