Open Day at The Clink

Laura Muranty and Nicole Carnaby invite you to come to The Clink Open Day this Saturday.

The Clink Theatre is holding an open day for anyone daring enough to come and strut their stuff on the stage in an all day performance workshop.

The Clink Open Day begins at 10am on Saturday, 22 January, with the Drama Workshop starting at 10:30 and finishing at 4:00pm with a short performance. So long as you are over the age of 6, no prior experience is necessary.

"Anyone can pop in during the day and ask about up and coming performances and audition dates or perhaps to just have a look around the working theatre," said The Clink's Laura Muranty. "The committee will also be taking new memberships and expressions of interest for other production areas."

Most importantly the Open Day gives the opportunity for The Clink Theatre to formally introduce the new and dynamic Drama School called, The Tropical North Theatre Company.

Their focus will be to run drama classes for all ages during school terms and to produce new theatrical work for all the community to share.

The Theatre Company will be run by Laura Muranty and Nicole Carnaby, who are both professionally trained drama teachers with extensive experience in the Performing Arts.

“We look forward to finding out what talent lies within this great community of ours,” Ms Muranty said.

Further information about drama classes and a sign on will be available on the day or you can call Laura Muranty on 0408399909.

A gold coin donation is all it costs to be part of the Open Day and performers are asked to BYO lunch.
