The CONTEMPORARY MUSIC TOURING PROGRAM has been established by the Australian Government to provide financial assistance for tours by musicians within Australia where this is not commercially viable and where there is demonstrated public demand. Assistance is provided on a tour by tour basis only. Regional tours may be eligible for up to $15,000 (ex GST). Tours to very remote locations may seek additional funds. Funding assistance is primarily available to enable professional and emerging artists to tour live music performances to at least 3 venues. The touring musicians must be Australian residents and must perform original Australian contemporary music.
