Mini by name, massive by nature

Sunset in the Park
Fashion Tips For Tractors will be back at Sunset in the Park 'Mini' on Saturday.

Sunset in the Park is fast becoming one of the most anticipated events on the Port Douglas calendar, showcasing the region's best musical talent.

In previous years Rex Smeal Park has been the location for the music festival, but this year organisers have chosen the Port Douglas Yacht Club for their 'mini' version of Sunset in the Park.

Despite the reference to a smaller event, music lovers will enjoy nearly ten hours of live entertainment at the Yacht Club this Sunday, with a dozen acts lined up to play to an appreciative crowd.

The event kicks off at 2pm and will feature Kim Hurley as she and her band play songs from her newly released album 'Letters to Letty.'

Tickets are just $10 for adults, $5 for children, and music lovers under the age of 12 will join in for free.

Here's the line up:

2.15 - 2.45        Omid Master and band
2.55 - 3.25        A Good Drop
3.35 - 4.05        Sonny Boy Forbes
4.15 - 4.55        Kim Hurley and band
5.05 - 5.45        Mereana and guests
5.55 - 6.35        The Distractions
6.45 - 7.25        Cloud Nine Band
7.35 - 8.15        Tonic
8.25 - 9.05         Benny and the Clones
9.15 - 9.55        The Physics of Fat
10.05 - 10.45     Black Mountain Rogues
10.55 - 11.35     Fashion Tips for Tractors

Troy 'The Saxman' will also be playing throughout the day.

A massive thank you to all the muso's who donated their time last Sunday. It was a great day and showed that the Sunset formula can really work in both Rex Park and at the Yacht Club. Thank you to Richard and his team for hosting us. Thank you also to Cloud Nine Guitars for their continued support of Sunset.
Finally thank you to you the music lovers for making the day. Keep up the fight for more live and local !!
Cheers. See you next year or before? The FMF Team. Kim, Josh and Sam

Sunday would be a very good time to teleport to Port from the UK for this "mini" event, if teleports were a la mode that is! It looks an awesome line-up and you guys in Port are in for a real treat! Have a great time y'all. Support your local muso's and keep music LIVE and LOCAL!
