Kasey Chambers at Eco Lodge

Kasey and Shane singing from their new album

Superstar country singer, Kasey Chambers and her husband Shane Nicholson were guests at the Daintree Eco Lodge last week,

They showcased songs from her new album, "Little Bird", at a private function for Mushroom Music Group in the Julaymba Restaurant at the Eco Lodge & Spa.

A select group of 50 people including renowned music producer Michael Gudinski  were in attendance.

Julaymba Restaurant & Gallery, with it's balcony terrace, overlooks the peaceful fresh water lagoon and is accessible via boardwalks through the rainforest. It is uniquely crafted to compliment the rainforest setting and capture the serenity of the seasonal fresh water stream flowing beneath.

Daintree Eco Lodge General Manager. Garry Sullivan said he hoped the album was inspired by the bird sounds in the Daintree.  And he could just be right, the calls of the forest may well have had a big influence because Kasey and Shane enjoy visiting the Far north as often as they can.

Shane said, "This special rainforest setting is such a great venue - we love coming back here". Kasey's album has just been released.

Have your say !

I met Kasey at Silky Oaks once having lunch with her family. She was extremely polite and made it clear she loved the area. I look forward to seeing her and her family in the area more.

Great to see her and Shane are bringing other of their distinguished peers to the area. If your reading this Kasey we would love for you to be an official or unofficial ambassador for our region. Best regards. Maybe Michael Gudinski and Kasey want to help us develop our Sunset in the Park Music Festival in the future.
