Gold logie winner coming to Port

Channel Nine's Karl Stefanovic, a regular visitor to Port Douglas and due to come to his third Sheraton Mirage Longest Lunch during Carnivale, has won the Gold Logie at TV's night of nights.

“I love coming up here at this time of year - the weather and the food are spot on,” he said. “I get up and walk out of the Sheraton Mirage directly onto Four Mile Beach and go for a stroll with the locals and then cruise onto the Longest Lunch - what could be more perfect?"

This year, the event will feature the first ever North Queensland public release of the Penfolds Bin wine.
