Flames of the Forest has been awarded a place in Spice magazine's Best Regional Venue category awards for 2011, as voted by the publication's readers.  

Spice Magazine asked readers to name their favourite event services and suppliers within Australia and Flames of the Forest wass the only Tropical North Queensland venue to make the list.   

Flames’ sales manager, Natalie Johnson, said it was great for the restaurant to be recognised in such a way.  

“It is fantastic to be included in the SPICE Hot 100.  This is a great endorsement by industry peers and clients and assurance we are providing a great venue and service to our region’s conference and incentive market.”

“We are lucky to have such a beautiful, natural environment and fresh produce to work with when creating these amazing events. Port Douglas has so much natural beauty, and Flames is just a small part of this stunning regional area,” she said.    

In recent years, Flames of the Forest was awarded the 2010 Australian Traveller Magazine “Top 100 Greatest Australian Gourmet Experiences” award and was a finalist in both 2009 and 2010 Australian Event Awards ‘Best Venue’ category.
