Daintree River wildlife report

Dominant resident mature adult male crocodile, Fat Albert, has been conspicuous by his absence and our friends David and Tyna White from Solar Whisper Daintree Wildlife Tours report that they are also only seeing the other mature male croc Scarface every now and then.

However in the adults absence the juveniles are out and about taking advantage of the unusual freedom.

In the meantime all the females are continuing to secretively nest, although female Dusty was spotted two days in a row, perhaps out of her creek for a feed. Even expectant mothers have to keep their strength up!

The beautiful White Pied Imperial Pigeons, welcome visitors from PNG are now nesting. They are truly an imperial presence, gorgeous and stylish
befitting there imperial title.

There are also plenty of frogs and a few snakes for visitors to enjoy.
