Crash investigations continue

Investigations are continuing into last week's helicopter crash at Whyanbeel, north of Mossman.

The GBR Bell Ranger 206 helicopter went down near Whyanbeel Road on Wednesday at approximately 12.20pm, as weed eradication surveys were being undertaken.

GBR pilot Chris Rose underwent spinal surgery last week at Cairns Base Hospital and is reported to be in a stable condition.

Cairns Regional Council's Mossman-based Land Management Officer Peter Logan was also injured, along with two Queensland Government employees, whose names are yet to be released.

Investigations by Mossman Police, the Australian Transport Safety Bureau and QPS will continue over the coming weeks.
