Cooya clean-up raring to go

Many hands make light work. Our region's beaches need your help.

Fossickers, greenies and environment lovers are being called upon to help with clean-up efforts on Cooya Beach tomorrow.

Bottles, plastic and other coastal and marine debris is expected to be collected from the picturesque site between 9.30am to 12pm.

Volunteers can meet at Cooya Beach at 9.30am or for those who would like to carpool from Port Douglas, volunteers can meet at the Wildlife Habitat at 9am.

Volunteers will need to bring drinking water, sunscreen, shoes and lots of energy. All clean up materials will be provided.

Then on Sunday, an education day will be held at the Wildlife Habitat, Port Douglas, where all beach clean-up volunteers will receive a Breakfast with the Birds voucher.
