All Years 9 to 12 students in Queensland state high schools will have access to a school computer from next year, with the roll out of 110,000 new computers now complete.

Queensland Education Minister Cameron Dick said the State Government had met all targets under the Australian Government's National Secondary School Computer Fund (NSSCF).

"Under the NSSCF program, more than 110,000 computers have been installed in state secondary schools across Queensland since 2008," Mr Dick said.

"To achieve this result, more than 60,000 laptops were bulk-purchased for Queensland State high school students this year and delivered to schools by the end of last month.

"This has achieved the ratio of one computer for every student in Years 9-12 in Queensland."

Mr Dick said more than $127 million have been spent in Queensland on the NSSCF program, which was part of the Digital Education Revolution initiative.

"As part of this program, we have provided laptops that are internet accessible, giving teachers and students flexibility about how, when and where pupils learn.

"Students will also have better access to important online resources, resulting in improved learning outcomes, collaboration and greater opportunity for personalised learning.

The computers are equipped with security measures, including web filtering to protect students from malicious and inappropriate internet activity, and a "track-and-trace" function should the machine ever be lost or stolen.
