Carnivale creative launched

Carnivale's new look incorporates the region's rainforest.

 

Organisers have released the 2011 creative material for Port Douglas Carnivale’s marketing campaign.

The brand elements are similar to that seen in the 2010 campaign, utilising the mask and the ‘Taste. Watch. Dance. Play’ theme, but Carnivale manager Martine Cotton says it has been updated and refreshed for this year’s event.

“We received excellent feedback from last year’s marketing campaign and we wanted to reprise and refresh it for 2011,” said Carnivale manager Martine Cotton. 

The 2011 mask represents the surrounding rainforest as opposed to the reef which was the theme for 2010's brand.

“The leaves are studded with glitz and glamour, and topped with all manner of things Carnivale that represent the food, the fun and the sense of the festival,” Ms Cotton said.
