Alice Patricia, Just for some info. Blue Hole is a protected area but seems CRC are not doing much about it either are the land holders. it is a sacred site along with many other sites around the world. all have been photographed and become history. how is anyone going to see them if you dont go to them to photograph. I have been 3 times to Blue Hole for Photos and every time there has been cars with tourists and locals. But I guess even you have been there. if you get on Google you will seen thousands of photos and websites talking about it and accommodation lodgings calling it a swimming hole. It took me a year to get told where it was as a new local. but when i have been there whos telling all the tourists? someone is.

Alice Patricia if it was a protected area they wouldnt take tours there im sorry...go google it as I just did and get your facts before you jump the gun...its a well known place for photographers :)

That photo of 'Entangled', if that photo was taken at blue lagoon at Cape Tribulation that is a protected area and should not have any photo's taken of it.

In terme of camera settings.....to be honest I don't take any real notice of what they are or for that matter know how to change most of them ! All of my pics are taken with a Panasonic LX3 compact camera generally on the intelligent auto setting. I try to keep it really simple. My favourite photo this month is Amee Holder's dragonfly.

I wonder if there could be a way for photgraphers submitting their photos each month to include their camera settings for each shot. This would really help aspiring photographers like myself to take better shots. Just an idea. Do enjoy this competition, wishing that I lived in the region to be able to compete. Holiday shots don't quite cut it!!
