The revival of the Atherton Tableland Chamber of Commerce after more than three years may give hope to Mossman business people who see a need for the organisation.

The first AGM of the renewed Atherton Tableland Chamber of Commerce was welcomed by an enthusiastic crowd of fifty on the night as well as by the Atherton community.

The previous chamber lapsed three and a half years ago and has been revived over the last months through the hard work and enthusiasm of an interim committee. 11 Foundation Members dug deep in their pockets to demonstrate their support for the initiative.

Contributor, Patrice Fletcher, welcomed the return of the organisation.

“This is a new start for a service group much missed over the last few years. Other towns benefit enormously from active Chambers and we have missed out.  That will change now. This is an exciting opportunity for the Tablelands.”
