Another record tumbles in Best Photo Comp

The variety of photos in July's Best Photo Competition is epitomised by this entry by Darryl and Glenda Gordon.

A record number of entries have been received in The Newsport's Best Photo Competition for July.

With over 50 brilliant and diverse entries, and new photographers jumping on board, selecting a short list for the Most Popular Photo category, let alone an overall winner has caused heated debate amongst the panel.

Due to the massive response we've extended the shortlist from 10 to 15 photographs, so have your say and vote for your favourite photo.

If you're a photographer and have a pic on the shortlist, don't be shy, drum up support for your entry from your friends, family, work colleagues, or strangers down the street.

Voting for the Most Poplular Photo closes at 5pm on Wednesday 10 August.

Winners for this category, and the overall Best Photo (with the cream of the crop earning a cool $100 cash for its owner) will be announced soon after.

Thanks again to everyone who has sent in a photo or two, or three, or four. Whether you're a consumate professional, or ametuer happy snapper, we love seeing our region through your eyes.

Have your say!
