94 send off Shane in style

Despite the heavy conditions the members battled through producing some top scores again this week.

Laurie Prosser started off the week by winning the men’s Tuesday competition with 43 points ahead of Steve Warden on 40 points. Kym Rowley was third with 39 points.

Phil Holloway won nearest the pin on 6, Mal Phillips on 8 and 13, Art Howard on 10 and Peter Lewis on 17.

Casey Dunn won the Wednesday nine hole competition with 24 points ahead of Joe Wild on 22 points. Dave Addison won nearest the pin on 6 and Brett Jurie won 8.

Kerri Williams was the best of the ladies on Thursday winning with 37 points. Ellen Clark was second with 34 points. Nearest the pins went to Helen Gabour on 6, Bev Cowe on 8 and Glenda Christensen on 10.

Shane’s farewell attracted 94 players for the Four Ball Best Ball competition. Peter Chrisfield and Adam Ferguson won with 48 points after a count back to Ben Hill and Clint Kachel.

Duncan Cunningham and Bob Tyrell finished third with 47. Nearest the pins were won by Ralf Middel and Bette Wells on 6, Des Whiteley and Bev Cowe on 8, Errol Glynn and Kim Edwards on 10, Laurie Prosser and Lyn Heimann on 13 and Peter Chrisfield on 17.

On Sunday Carley Edwards was too good winning with 37 points six shots clear of John Cameron on 31. Ranald Edwards won nearest the pin on 6.
